The Hong Kong Institute of Education established a systematic network of consultative and advisory committees to enhance links with the educational community. Each division would have a representative group of educators from the school system, sister tertiary institutions and the Education Department who would meet regularly to consider new course proposals or advise on school activities. The Advisory Committee on Primary Teacher Education was previously part of Division of Primary Education before the Division was transformed into the School of Foundation in Education.

The Advisory Committee on Secondary and Technology Teacher Education (ACSTTE) was set up to advise the SCAST on all aspects of its current courses, as well as on the needs of the school system, the teaching profession and local secondary and technology education, with regard to curriculum design and the development of future courses. The Committee played a key role in facilitating communication between the professional community and the Hong Kong Institute of Education, as well as promoting educational planning and information sharing.

Records include the Committee’s terms of reference, membership lists, distribution lists, agendas, minutes, correspondence, reports on the development and implementation of proposed programmes and Chairman’s briefing papers.

Feedback was gathered from staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Includes minutes of council meetings and special meetings; President's Report; and correspondence between the Association and the Education Department Consultative Council and papers related to staffing in the Colleges of Education.

Includes analysis written by Northcote College of Education, on the format and content of the syllabi prepared by Colleges of Education Subject Syllabus Committees.

The series primarily consists of visual documentation of the academic and social activities of the School of Creative Arts, Sciences and Technology. Activities captured include seminars, celebration parties, delegation visit, staff meeting, ceremonies, Open Day and so on between 1997 and 2004.

Both photo albums and original negatives are organised and kept by year:

• The photo albums are arranged in different orders; each album has been clearly labelled with titles and dates of activities, and page numbers. Some of them has caption from the back of photos.
• The negative films (35mm) are originally stored in A4-sized brown envelopes. Inside the envelope are numerous small packets arranged randomly, each labelled with a handwritten note detailing different activities.

Secondly, it includes 5 CDs featuring innovative teaching methods implemented across various subjects in primary schools. It represents the outcomes of a special project titled "兩岸三地優質教育的創新教學計劃".

Includes bank statements, and correspondence between the Association and Registrar of Trade Unions regarding the former's annual audited statements of accounts.
