This subseries consists of project proposals, design layout plans, meeting notes, correspondence, cost estimates, budget plans, questionnaires and application forms for a variety of matters, relating to the preliminary activities undertaken by the Proposed Community Creative Arts Complex Project Planning Committee in order to obtain funding from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for the proposed Community Creative Arts Complex Project (CCA Complex Project).

The CCA Complex Project proposed to synergize the educational and artistic expertise of the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) with local arts organisations to enhance the cultural well-being of the north-east district of the New Territories. The ultimate goal of the CCA Complex Project, as the Project title suggests, was to lead to the construction of a Community Creative Arts Complex within HKIEd's Tai Po campus. However, the CCA Complex Project fell through and the construction was unable to come true.

Records relating to focus group meetings conducted as part of the CCA Complex Project planning process. The file includes invitation and thank-you letters, focus group questions, presentation materials, lists of participating academic institutions, rural committees and associations of Tai Po and north New Territories districts, and records documenting discussion outcomes and feedback.
