This file contains materials collected and maintained by the Office of Planning and Academic Implementation, relating to media coverage and the communication of the Hong Kong Institute of Education’s strategic plan.

Records include newspaper cuttings and institutional press releases forwarded by Communications and Institutional Advancement Office, as well as press conference materials, including the rundown, floorplan, Q&A set, and summary of the strategic plan prepared for briefing purposes.

The objectives of the image study were:
1) to assess the community’s awareness to the HKIEd;
2) to indicate the public understanding on the institute of a key provider of teacher’s education;
3) to assess the perceived image of the HKIEd and its ranking among local UGC-funded education institutes; and
4) to assess the intention of studying at the HKIEd and the tendency of recommending the others to study at the HKIEd.

The image study was conducted by Consumer Search on 9 April 1998 and was submitted to Office of Planning and Academic Implementation.
