School Projects and Initiatives Funding Committee of SFE was set up by the Academic Board on 27 June 2001. The Committee considered and approved application from Departments of the School, with reference to the institute-wide policies and standard guidelines, covering the following areas of activities:

• Academic exchange activities;
• Academic publications;
• Special projects and activities covering seminars/ conferences, workshops, productions, exchanges, resources for school, exhibition, institute-school partnership activities, etc.; and
• Conference attendance of academic staff
