The First Assembly was held on 22 September 1994 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and was officiated by the then Secretary of Education and Manpower, Mr. Michael Leung.
The file consists of an admission ticket, information sheets about the Hong Kong Institute of Education, programme for the First Assembly, and three transcripts of speeches given by Mr. Simon Ip, then Council Chairman; Mr. Michael Leung, then Secretary for Education and Manpower; and Prof. C. K. Leung, then Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
