The series consists of records generated, received or accumulated by the Board of Studies in Social and Business Studies regarding academic resources and manpower planning of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The records consist of minutes/meeting notes, correspondence and discussion papers on the academic development of cognate departments under the Board, departmental staff-student ratios, promotion scheme for academic staff, and the deployment and workload of academic staff across the Institute.
Board of Social and Business StudiesThe series consists of administrative records generated, received or accumulated by Grantham College of Education and from 1994 when the College served as Grantham Campus of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The records are concerned about the administrative structure of the College, the proposed conversion of the College Annex, and the affairs of the College's/Campus' Committees.
Grantham College of EducationThe series primarily consists of visual documentation of the academic and social activities of the School of Creative Arts, Sciences and Technology. Activities captured include seminars, celebration parties, delegation visit, staff meeting, ceremonies, Open Day and so on between 1997 and 2004.
Both photo albums and original negatives are organised and kept by year:
- The photo albums are arranged in different orders; each album has been clearly labelled with titles and dates of activities, and page numbers. Some of them has caption from the back of photos.
- The negative films (35mm) are originally stored in A4-sized brown envelopes. Inside the envelope are numerous small packets arranged randomly, each labelled with a handwritten note detailing different activities.
Secondly, it includes 5 CDs featuring innovative teaching methods implemented across various subjects in primary schools. It represents the outcomes of a special project titled "兩岸三地優質教育的創新教學計劃".
School of Creative Arts, Sciences and TechnologyThe series consists of minutes and/or discussion papers of the intra-college committees, study units and working groups of Northcote College of Education.
The college committees, study units and working groups were created to advise the Principal on the organisation and content of college courses and activities, on future planning and inter-college cooperation and on domestic matters within Northcote College of Education. Some of these committees were standing while others were set up as the need arises. In some of the committees, students were also represented.

These publications document the academic and social activities of the Department of Early Childhood Education, which is the current name of the department.
Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education and Human DevelopmentThe series consists of annual departmental reports compiled by the subject departments of Northcote College of Education on staffing, course content, course and teaching practice evaluation, student enrolment, departmental activities and achievements.
Northcote College of EducationThis series currently consists of digital images of staff members and activities organized by the Faculty of Languages, Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences between 2007 and 2009.
Faculty of Languages, Arts and SciencesThe series comprises of records relating to the administration of Northcote College of Education ("NCE") between 1982 and 1990. The subjects covered include the Northcote College of Education Students' Union, the implementation of a management information and control system, and the classification and descriptions of all job positions in NCE.
The administration of NCE includes financial and store matters, maintenance of College premises, office management, personnel matters, academic matters, and the monitoring of student affairs. Apart from maintaining regular communication with its own College staff and students, the records show that NCE also made extensive contact and cooperation with the other two Colleges of Education, the Hong Kong Technical Teachers' College, and the Education Department on matters related to College administration.
