              This file contains records documenting space planning, allocation, and re‑organisation undertaken by the School of Foundations in Education in consultation with the Estates Office and related departments following the School’s restructuring.

              The records relate to both the review and optimisation of space used by existing departments and the allocation and reorganisation of space for new or restructured departments and offices. Materials include drawings and floor plans, space allocation proposals, rationalisation and reorganisation plans, move schedules, surveys on utilisation of teaching venues, requests for allocation of rooms and additional space, and documentation relating to asset transfer to new offices. Together, the records reflect efforts to optimise the School’s use of physical space.

              This item was a record of the planning and room layouts of the main campus buildings at the main campus of the Hong Kong Institute of Education at Tai Po. The campus buildings included the administration, academic, central Facilities and amenities Buildings, which formed the core of the campus. The planning was established after six months of discussion and consultation.

              P&T Architects & Engineers Ltd. was the planner of the Institute's campus layout in 1995.
