The Academic Studies Board (ASB), chaired by the Principal, consisted of the two Vice-Principals, and all Principal Lectures/Heads of Departments. It chief functions were:
- to initiate discussion on issues in connection with the implementation of College training programmes, the monitoring of students' progress and related College administration;
- to receive and study reports from Ad hoc Committees, Advisory Units, Study and Research Unit that appointed by the Principal, and to endorse their recommendations for College implementation.
There were normally four meetings in an academic year.
