This series comprises records documenting the administrative and governance functions of the School. Materials include files related to academic quality assurance (such as module revisions, programme validation and re‑validation, and external examiner matters), student administration (including exchange arrangements and disciplinary cases), senior academic appointments, and funding applications.

The series also documents the membership, meetings, and work of several committees, including the Advisory Committee on Primary Teacher Education and Student Disciplinary Committee; and School Projects; Initiative Funding Committee; Academic Validation and Monitoring Committee; and Academic Planning and Development Committee.

The series primarily consists of visual documentation of the academic and social activities of the School of Creative Arts, Sciences and Technology. Activities captured include seminars, celebration parties, delegation visit, staff meeting, ceremonies, Open Day and so on between 1997 and 2004.

Both photo albums and original negatives are organised and kept by year:

• The photo albums are arranged in different orders; each album has been clearly labelled with titles and dates of activities, and page numbers. Some of them has caption from the back of photos.
• The negative films (35mm) are originally stored in A4-sized brown envelopes. Inside the envelope are numerous small packets arranged randomly, each labelled with a handwritten note detailing different activities.

Secondly, it includes 5 CDs featuring innovative teaching methods implemented across various subjects in primary schools. It represents the outcomes of a special project titled "兩岸三地優質教育的創新教學計劃".

The series currently includes promotional materials of the "Under The Trees" exhibition series, which was presented by the Hong Kong Institute of Education in collaboration with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Education and the Hong Kong Museum of History over the course of 2010 and 2011.

The "Under The Trees" exhibition series is a showcase of the findings of a collaborative research project conducted by the Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2006 on the development of rural education in Hong Kong. There were two exhibitions. The first exhibition, "Under The Trees: The History of Hong Kong Village Schools", was on display at the Hong Kong Museum of Education between 14 May 2010 and 31 March 2011; whereas the second exhibition, "Under The Trees: People and Stories from Village Schools", was held at the Hong Kong Museum of History from 21 July to 27 September 2010.
